Upbeat! Skazine started out as Great Ska'tt! Skazine in January 1997. Only about 20 issues of Great Ska'tt! #1 were printed (on light yellow paper). They sold well, and people liked it, even though I thought it was pretty bad. It didn't have any interviews. Upbeat! (formerly Great Ska'tt!) Skazine #2 came out around Fall 1997. Over 150 of these were made (and available in 5 different neon colors: blue, green, orange, pink, and yellow). I got plenty of good comments on it, and I thought I did a great job, although I wished I got it out sooner. This one had interviews with The Ska Blazers, Skankin' Pickle, and Reel Big Fish. Both of these back issues are all sold out. So now it is time for Upbeat! #3 to come out. I can't afford to make it a photocopied paper publication anymore, so I am going to use my web skills to make Upbeat! Skazine an e-skazine. I decided to also put selected material from #2 onto the web. It's hard to transfer Microsoft Works files into an html file, so the stuff I choose to put up from #2 won't look as nice as it did when it was on paper, but I will make the new stuff look as good as I could! Instead of a limited amount of people seeing the reviews now, they will be available for anyone around the world to see on the Internet. Issue #3 is now available! It was officially released in July 1998, and I've already gotten a lot of hits. Thank you.
